Aprilia Malaysia launches a new naked motorcycle, the Tuono 660

KUALA LUMPUR: Aprilia’s official distributor in Malaysia, Didi Resources Sdn Bhd has introduced the all-new 2021 Tuono 660 in the country. Priced at RM 77,900, this half-naked motorcycle is based on the Aprilia RS 660 and is essentially Tuono V4 110’s young sibling.

The new  Aprilia Tuono 660 is designed for everyday fun and so it offers lightweight performance and an exhilarating riding experience. Furthermore, it is packed with all the features one would find on the RS 660, including a set of aero-fairing on the sides.

The up for some ‘weekend riding’ fun Tuono 660 is enabled to go against the best in the class, especially aerodynamic-wise. It gets triple LED headlight, sleek exterior design, high handlebar, and a middleweight engine. The latter has received appreciation from media around the world.

Speaking of its much-praised power unit, the 660-cc transverse parallel-twin unit makes a maximum power output of 95 hp at 10,500 rpm. Compared to its full-fairing sibling, the power falls short by 5 hp, however, it gets covered by its better power delivery and response, thanks to its slightly shorter gear ratio and 183 kg kerb weight. It also offers 270-degree combustion timing, the same as the brand’s iconic V4 engine.

Coming to the 2021 Aprilia Tuono 660 electronic riding aids, there are several all working towards providing better control, agility, and responsive handling. Its APRC electronic control suite includes the following features - Engine brake & selectable engine maps, ride-by-wire throttle management system, cruise control, multi-level traction control, and anti-wheel control.

As mentioned above the 2021 Aprilia Tuono 660 is priced at RM 77,900, on-the-road without registration, insurance, and road tax. At the moment there is only one color option to choose from, i.e.Concept Black which sure gives the motorcycle a powerful stance.
