All-new 2022 Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory available in Malaysia for RM 73,900

KUALA LUMPUR: Yes, the year is coming to an end and we still have exciting news coming in from all corners. While the four-wheeled arena is scheduled to get the 4th gen Kia Sorento and Volvo C40 Recharge before the year-end, the motorcycle market has a brand new offering, the 2022 Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory.

It was only earlier today that Aprilia Malaysia’s local distributor, Didi Group, announced the launch of the new Tuono 660 Factory.

Let’s get to know the 2022 Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory in detail -

Powertrain configuration: The new Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory is powered by a 659cc parallel twin-cylinder engine with a 270-degree combustion interval. The unit generates a maximum power of 100 hp (5p more than Tuono 660) along with a peak torque of 67 Nm (unchanged).

Transmission: Gearing the Tuono 660 Factory is now shorter than the base model with the 16-tooth front and 43-tooth rear sprocket. The motorcycle comes equipped with a standard up-and-down quick-shifter and a 6-speed gearbox.

Electronic aids: The new Tuono 660 Factory comes fitted with electronic aids like the RS 660 model. The list includes an auto-blipper, traction control, cornering ABS, wheelie control, quick shifter, selectable riding mode, and more.

The motorcycle also benefits from five customisable ride modes, three for road and two for track use.

Braking & Handling: The latest Aprilia gets dual 320 mm disc at the front & Brembo radial-mount calipers and a single 220 mm disc at the rear with Brembo caliper. The suspension front is taken care of by a fully-adjustable 41 mm Kayaba front fork and Sachs shocks at the rear.

Weight: The new Tuono 660 Factory weighs less than the base model, thanks to the lithium-ion battery that is 2kg lighter, bringing the kerb weight to 181 kg.

Features: The motorcycle comes fitted with 17-inch wheels, 120/70 front & 180/55 rear tyres, LED headlights with bending light function & DRLs, single-seater tail cowl.

Colour: The all-new Tuono 660 Factory is offered in just one hue, called Factory Dark.

Price: Despite offering more than the base model, the new Tuono 660 Factory is RM4k cheaper. It retails for RM 73,900 (excluding road tax, registration, and insurance).
