Mercedes-Benz Malaysia rolls out GLC 300 CKD model with a substantial price cut
KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-Benz has introduced the locally assembled (CKD) version of the new GLC300 4Matic, which was launched in Malaysia earlier this year. Compared to the CBU version, the CKD model receives slight updates in terms of specifications; however, the price has seen a noticeable dip.

Speaking about the revised kit, the locally assembled GLC benefits from hands-free access for the tailgate and a panoramic sunroof. While the former adds to the convenience, the latter enhances the interior's open and airy feel.
Other than that, the two models are completely identical. The exterior boasts the same five-sided front grille, Digital Light headlamps, 20-inch AMG multi-spoke light alloy wheels, polished aluminium roof rails, puddle lamps, and a mirror package.
The archaic dashboard of the SUV continues to feature a portrait-style 11.9-inch central touchscreen powered by the latest MBUX system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, AMG-design steering wheel, Artico man-made leather upholstery, 15-speaker Burmester 3D surround sound system, Thermatic dual-zone climate control, wireless charger, 64-colour ambient lighting, illuminated door sills, Keyless-Go Comfort package, and powered front seats with memory function.
Parts of the safety suite are - Passive cruise control, 360-degree camera, Active Parking Assist with Parktronic, Blind spot monitor, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Pre-Safe, Tyre pressure monitor, and Active Brake Assist.
Powering the Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 CKD SUV is the same 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, which cranks out 258 PS of maximum power and 400 Nm of peak torque. The power is sent to the wheels via a 9G-Tronic nine-speed automatic transmission mated to a 4Matic all-wheel drive system, enabling the car to hit the century sprint in 6.2 seconds and a top speed of 240 kmph.
The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4Matic is available in six standard exterior shades - Graphite Gray, Obsidian Black, High-Tech Silver, Mojave Silver, Spectral Blue, and Selenite Grey.
