Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+: Detailed in pictures
It was only a few days ago that Mercedes-Benz Malaysia launched a new electric vehicle in its lineup, called the EQE. The said model is the fifth EQ model launched in the country and is available in a single variant option, called EQE350+.

The EQE is essentially the little sibling to the flagship EQS and when put side-by-side the two look quite similar. The two also share a more compact version of the brand’s Mercedes-Benz EVA platform.
The EQE is fully-imported from Bremen, Germany, and showcases a 180 mm shorter length and 90 mm shorter wheelbase compared to the EQS. The car measures 4,946 mm in length, 1,961 mm in width, and 1,512 mm in height. Its wheelbase stretches to 3,120 mm.
Powering the EQE is a single e-motor generating a maximum power of 292 hp along with a peak torque of 565 Nm. These figures enable the car to complete the century sprint in just 6.4 seconds and attain a top speed of 210 kmph.
Backing the electric motor is a 90.56 kWh battery which offers the car a usable range of up to 669 km.
The EQE 350+ is charged via AC at 11 kW with the battery going from 10 to 100% state in 8 hours and 15 minutes. With DC charging at 170 kW the car will go from 10 to 80% in 32 minutes. The car’s charging kit includes a 5-metre charging cable which can be used both at home (wall box) and at public charging stations.
Despite being a fully-electric vehicle the EQE 350+ misses out on a front trunk, however, the boot space is decent though there is no hatchback-style tailgate.
The battery management software of the EV is developed in-house and enables over-the-air updates. It will not only remain up to date throughout its lifecycle but will also help big time in energy management.
The fully-electric Mercedes-Benz EV in place of Airmatic suspension and rear-axle steering, the car gets Comfort suspension and a conventional rear multilink.
What you see above is the Digital Light headlamp technology with a projection function complementing the Multibeam LED headlights.
Doors get flush handles that blend seamlessly with the car’s bodywork and add to the car’s appearance. When someone is in the immediate vicinity of the car, the handles will extend automatically and will retract as soon as the vehicle is off or drives off
At the rear, the EV gets special lighting units in 3D helix design.
Other essential exterior bits include a black panel radiator grille, AMG body styling (AMG-specific front bumper, rear apron in body colour), high-gloss side skirts, chrome door trim, chrome beltline & window line trim strips, and 19-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke light alloys they are aerodynamically optimized and black high-shine finish.
The EQE Saloon’s interior is a mix of innovative, high-quality materials, excellent workmanship, and equipment highlights which together round off the vehicle's futuristic ambiance.
The EVs cabin comes fitted with a head-up display which makes the driving experience comfortable and safe. How? Via projecting information and messages onto the windscreen and directly into the driver’s field vision.
The key features on the inside include - a multifunction sports steering wheel wrapped in Nappa leather, sport seats with 4-way lumbar support & contour lighting in ARTICO man-made leather, ambient lighting, MICROCUT microfibre in black/space grey with red topstitching, AMG sports pedal system, AMG floor mats, ‘Mercedes-Benz’ lettering on door sill panels, and Anthracite line structure lime wood trim.
On the infotainment front, the EQE comes equipped with an MBUX entertainment system which allows users to choose between different music streaming services, and internet radio, and surf & stream conveniently. The system comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.
The Burmester surround sound system offers greater audio performance with its high-quality speakers which deliver an impressive surround sound. The sound can be optimized for the front and rear seats for an intensified listening experience.
The EQE saloon’s Memory Package helps users store and select up to three different seat positions. It can also store the position of the exterior mirror, steering mirrors, and the optional head-up display.
The EQE 350+ comes packed with assistance systems which include Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC (it helps finds parking space, assists with reverse parking, and assists braking, acceleration, and gear changing), Driving Assistance Plus package (benefits of conditionally automated driving), Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC and Parking package with a 360-degree camera with all-round visibility.
