2024 Mercedes-Benz C350e: All you need to know

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia recently made additions to its 5th-gen C-Class range with the introduction of the C350e AMG Line. The all-new plug-in hybrid variant is locally assembled in Pekan, Pahang. The new C-Class model replaces the C300 AMG Line that retailed for RM 355,000 (on-the-road without insurance) and joins the ongoing C200 Avantgarde that costs RM 292,888.

Price

The Malaysian-spec 2024 Mercedes-Benz C350e price is currently under wraps and is currently listed at an estimated price of RM 355,000 (on the road without insurance).

Powertrain

Powering the Mercedes-Benz C350e is a 2.0 liter turbocharged inline-four petrol engine making a maximum power output of 204 PS at 6,100 rpm along with a peak torque of 320 Nm from 2,000 to 4,000 rpm. Also, part of the setup is an electric motor rated at 129 PS and 440 Nm. Together the setup yields a total output of 313 PS and 550 Nm. The drive is sent to the rear wheels by a nine-speed 9G-Tronic automatic transmission.

Performance

The engine-electric motor setup allows the C350e to complete a century sprint in 6.1 seconds and attain a top speed of 245 kmph. If running poorly on electric the car is good for a top speed of 140 kmph.

Range

The electric motor on the C350e is powered by a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 25.4 kWh that enables the car to offer an all-electric range of 117 km (WLTP standard).

Charging

Mercedes-Benz C350e is a plug-in hybrid electric car and therefore requires a charger. Supporting the car’s charging needs is an AC charger with a max capacity of 11 kW and takes 2 hr to fully charge the battery. As for the DC fast charger, the Malaysian-spec model misses out on it.

AMG Line package

Mercedes-Benz offers the all-new 350e plug-in hybrid model with AMG Line package (standard). The said kit includes -
