While the SYM Jet14 200 might not be having a glitzy design to catch your attention, with the overall design of it being a bit modest by the standards of a maxi-scooter. However, the large dimensions of the SYM Jet14 200 perfectly match with the sharp design lines to make it look contemporary and premium enough.

The front fairing of the SYM Jet14 200 looks aggressive with its bulbous layout, which houses a pair of wing-like headlamp units in the lower middle portion of it. This headlight cluster comprises of twin halogen headlamps and LED positioning lamps on the upper corners of it. SYM could have equipped the scooter with all-LED headlamps to make it look trendy and increase the throw of the light from it. The lower side edges of the front apron have been adorned with wedge-shaped clear lens turn indicators, which make the front look even sharper and wider.

The side extensions of the front apron extend towards the floorboard with a zig-zag design, thus creating enough knee room behind it for even taller riders. The scooter gets tall 14-inch black colored alloy wheels, which do help in making the scooter look tall. The rear side body panels of the SYM Jet14 200 too look very sharp and have been given dual-tone treatment, with a part of them having black plastic finish which gels with the floorboard. Adding more appeal to its good ergonomics is the large and wider stepped theme seat, which ends up with a large U-shaped wide pillion grab rail at the back.

The SYM Jet14 200 has got a very nice and big looking tail lamp cluster, which houses a very unique inverted petal-shaped tail lamp in the middle with Y-themed LED insert in it, along with clear lens triangular turn indicators attached to it.

The SYM Jet14 200 gets a very wide single handlebar with a small clamp in the middle of it and a large butterfly-themed instrument console in front of it. This instrument console has a large rectangular 5-inch LCD unit as the main display screen in the center, with two trapezoidal housings on either side having different warning lights. The display screen shows readings for speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, odometer, trip meters and clock.

The styling is not the only premium aspect of the SYM Jet14 200, but its mechanical setup too is. The scooter gets adorned with hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and a pair of hydraulic coil springs at the back. The 14-inch wheels on the SYM Jet14 200 are equipped with 100/80x14” tubeless tires at both the ends, which do help it in giving a planted stance and agile handling. The scooter comes with a premium braking setup, consisting of 260mm front disc brake and a 220mm rear disc brake.

A four-stroke, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 168.9cc engine has been employed as the powertrain of the SYM Jet14 200. Coupled to a CVT gearbox, this engine pumps out a maximum power output of 12 PS and a maximum torque output of 12.8 Nm. For a maxi-scooter, the performance outputs are a bit low but are decent enough to give a good grunt for urban riding.

The SYM Jet14 200 has been equipped with a range of safety features, the most prominent one of which are a dual-channel ABS, engine kill switch and key shutter mechanism for the ignition keyhole. In addition to these, the scooter also gets a couple of storage compartments – a small one behind the front apron and a large under-seat space which can house a full face helmet too.

For an entry-level maxi-scooter, the SYM Jet14 200 looks the part with its fancy yet subtle bodywork as well as an extensive list of features. While the performance levels are not exhilarating by the levels of a maxi-scooter, the overall premium components of the chassis make the SYM Jet14 200 feel premium and worth every penny it asks.
