V177 Mercedes-AMG A35 4Matic Sedan arrival in Malaysia confirmed

KUALA LUMPUR: The V177 Mercedes-AMG A35 4Matic Sedan was revealed a couple of months back. And now, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has confirmed the date of its arrival in the dealerships, i.e., 25th Sept 2019. The company used the social media platform, Instagram to tease people a bit by announcing its arrival.

Coming to the oily bits, the V177 Mercedes-AMG A35 4Matic Sedan is powered by the automaker’s own M260 turbocharged four-cylinder petrol mill. This mill can provide a maximum power of 306 hp along with a peak torque of 400 Nm. The maximum power and torque come at a rev range of 5,800 rpm and 3,000-4,000 rpm, respectively.

It is a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that sends power to the wheels and is further equipped with an AMG Performance variable all-wheel-drive system. It provides 50% of the torque to the rear wheel. With this setup, the V177 Mercedes-AMG A35 4Matic sedan can achieve 0 to 100 kmph mark in just 4.8 seconds, when the Race-Start launch control is activated.

Inside the V177 Mercedes-AMG A35 4Matic sedan, it is expected to come with a Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system. There will be an optional AMG Performance steering wheel that holds a rotary dial, and with that, the driver will be able to switch between the riding modes - Comfort, Slippery, Sport +, Individual and Sport.

During its global launch, the A35 Sedan came with the optional AMG Aerodynamics Package. It consists of a front splitter, enlarged rear spoiler, front dive planes, pronounced diffuser blades, and rear air vent shrouds. The car rides on either 18-inch or 19-inch wheels. As for braking, there are 350 mm disc brakes at the front, while the 330 mm disc brakes stop the rear wheels.

However, the manufacturer has not spoken about how much the V177 Mercedes-AMG A35 4Matic sedan will cost. It is expected to be revealed after the sedan's arrival.
