Spy shots of N18 Nissan Almera exposed by “The Ajerul” Facebook page

KUALA LUMPUR: It seems that Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM), Nissan’s local distributor in Malaysia is planning to come up with some new launches.

Talking about the new models, the carmaker has only added three cars in the past two years, and they are the new Serena, facelifted X-Trail and new Leaf. Now, the spy shots of N18 Nissan Almera has been exposed via a Facebook page and it can be expected that the brand will be introducing this model very soon in the market.

The spy shots that are exposed on the internet are posted on the Facebook page named “The Ajerul”. The images that are displayed on the spy shots reveal four units of the B-segment sedan placed on a trailer. Even if the cars are mostly covered, the spy shots were lucky enough to expose the side profile and the design of the more extensive 16-inch two-tone alloy wheels of the vehicle. These details provide a hint that the car captured in the spy shot is the new Almera.

These cars were spotted near the KLIA Cargo Village, which can give a hint that the cars are most probably being shipped out and the reason for that can be testing purposes in Japan. There was a total of four car present in the trailer, two units of each entry-level and range-topping trims, which means they are probably sent for crash tests.

According to the source, such spy shots of Nissan Serena S-Hybrid were revealed earlier and after the expose, the car was launched just after six months. So, it can be expected that the new N18 Almera will be launched sometime in April 2020. Also, the technical details are not revealed yet. It is likely to come equipped with the identical 1.5-litre HR15DE unit as before.
