Rolls Royce revealed an exclusive and rare Phantom called Tempus Collection

KUALA LUMPUR: Rolls Royce has introduced a limited edition of its flagship model Phantom that takes luxury to a next level. Inspired by the mysteries of time and the universe, this special version is dubbed as Phantom Tempus Collection. The automaker will make only 20 units of this special Phantom, which are all already spoken for. So, what all it features, let’s have a look.

The first eye-catching characteristic is the design of the Phantom Tempus Collection that encompasses many aesthetic and intellectual themes related to cosmos and time. It is decked up in Kairos Blue paint finish, which contains mica flakes producing a gentle sparkle. These mimic the stars in the night sky including pulsars (white-hot stars that emit electromagnetic radiation). Added to its outstanding beauty are the black detailing and the famous Spirit of Ecstasy personalized with a date or location for each client.

Climb inside, here most of the drama exists. The Phantom Tempus Collection cabin will give you a feel like you are entering some other world. There is dazzling lighting and shiny trimming all-around. The bespoke Starlight headliner portrays the remarkable force of nature; it is made out of intricate embroidery and fiber-optic lighting and dubbed as Pulsar headliner.

The dashboard is termed as the Frozen Flow of Time Gallery. It is a billet of black-anodised and hand-finished aluminium combined for 100 individual columns. This represents the 100-million-year period of a pulsar star rotational spin. The dashboard omits the clock to signify that the owners are free from time and its limitations.  

The special Phantom Tempus Collection also has an engraved plaque in the glove box that describes the gallery. Also, there is an Albert Einstein quote, “The distinction between past, present, and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion”. The door cards of the bespoke Phantom incorporate many illuminated perforations in contrast with leather trimmings.

Under the hood, the luxury Phantom features a standard 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine generating 563 hp and 900 Nm of torque.
