Porsche World Roadshow Malaysia 2024 begins at Sepang International Circuit

KUALA LUMPUR: Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP), the local distributor of Porsche cars, is hosting the globally renowned event Porsche World Roadshow (PWRS) in Malaysia. This sensational and exceptional driving experience, designed to showcase the brand’s latest models and advanced technologies, is set against the backdrop of the Sepang International Circuit.

Set to be held from June 20 to June 29, the Porsche World Roadshow Malaysia 2024 is led by certified international Porsche instructors with guided driving sessions on the racetrack, including activities such as acceleration, braking, slalom, and off-road driving. It offers a unique opportunity for auto enthusiasts, potential buyers, and industry professionals to experience Porsche vehicles firsthand. 

There will be a total of 23 Porsche models for test drives, including the 911 Targa 4 GTS, 911 Turbo S, 911 GT3 RS, 718 Cayman GT4 RS, Spyder RS, Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid, Macan GTS, the new Panamera, the new Taycan Turbo, and the Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo. 

During test drives, participants can experience precise handling of the brand’s latest models and enjoy the all-new suspension comfort of the new Cayenne on rough terrains. They can also feel the adrenaline rush during slalom exercises and while accelerating from 0 to 100 kmph in Porsche’s two-door sports cars.

The eligibility criteria for the Porsche World Roadshow Malaysia 2024 is as follows:

• The participant must be at least 27 years old on the event date and have a minimum of 5 years of driving experience. 
• He/she must hold a valid driving license and have submitted a registration form along with the participation fees.
• All participants are also required to sign a waiver of liability and indemnity form before they can take part in any driving activities.

Among the two new Porsche models exclusively premiered at the PWRS are the new Taycan and the all-electric Macan. The new Porsche Taycan is now up for grabs at a starting price of RM 575,000.
