Mercedes-Benz Malaysia adds E 350 AMG to E-Class lineup

KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has launched the new E 350 AMG Line, thus expanding their E-Class lineup with a range-topping car. The car sits alongside E 200 SportStyle Avantgarde and E 300 Exclusive Line. Company’s President and CEO, Dr. Claus Weidner claimed that the vehicle will play an active role in supporting the nation’s progress in the arena of making Energy Efficient Vehicles.

The E 350 AMG comes with an all-new Multibeam LED technology, which consists of 84 individual LEDs for better illumination. The panoramic sunroof and the 19-inch AMG five twin-spoke light alloy wheels also add to the list of exterior features.

Moving inside, the audio-visual segment is equipped with a COMAND Online infotainment system and Burmester sound system, with support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A head-up unit displays key information to the driver without losing the sight of the road, making driving safer and efficient. The AMG multifunction sports steering wheel is wrapped in Nappa leather, which also covers the seats. An ambient lighting system, thermotronic climate control system, and electrically adjustable front seats complete the interiors.

On the engine front, the M264 mill replaces the E-Class’ previous M274 unit. It is a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine and is capable of churning out a maximum power of 299 hp at 5,800 rpm and 400 Nm of peak torque, along with an electric-alternator that can provide a momentary boost of 14 hp (in power) and 150 Nm (in torque). The combination helps the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.9-second and can attain the highest speed of 250 kmph. Additionally, it also packs energy recuperation technology, which revitalizes power used while applying brakes, which supports the brand’s claim of power efficiency.

The Mercedes-Benz E 350 AMG Line will be available to the buyers for RM399,888.
