Mercedes-Benz GLE, GLE Coupe and GLC 250 4Matic Launched in Malaysia: Features to Look Forward
Kuala Lumpur: Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has launched its new SUV line-up for 2016 that consists of Mercedes-Benz GLE, GLE Coupe and GLC 250, price starts from RM487k, RM699k and RM329k Respectively. With these launches, the company is looking forward to grabbing the SUV market of the country.
Here are the common specs and safety features of top-end variants of GLE SUV, GLE Coupe, GLC 250 4Matic:
Starting from the Mercedes-Benz GLE, the full sized premium SUV is available in two variants, namely GLE 250d 4Matic and GLE 400 4Matic. While Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe is the Sports utility Coupe and it is available in two variants GLE 400 and GLE 450 AMG. Earlier, the GLE 400 was spied while the testing at Putrajaya city, Kuala Lumpur. It is a full package of luxury, styling and high performance. Both the car shares the same designing platform. These cars flaunt muscular and dynamic appearance. The only noticeable difference you will find between GLE SUV and GLE Coupe is that Coupe gets single split radiator grill instead of twin-split type. These powerful four-wheeled machines are equipped with AMG styling bumper, full LED headlamps with larger air intake and a new bonnet. The top end variant GLE 400 4MATIC gets 21-inch 5-twin spoke AMG alloy wheels while base variant receives 20-inch 5-Spoke Alloy Wheels covered in chunky Pirelli tyres. Along with it also has the largest boot carrying capacity in the segment. On the other side, the GLE Coupe 450 AMG 4Matic receives bigger wheels of 22 inch while the 400 AMG gets a wheel size of 21 inch.
Talking about the interior, again, both the machines share similar features and layouts, these cars receive flat-bottomed steering wheel with company insignia at the center and having controlled switches on it, central air vents with Merc COMAND Online infotainment system screen. It is also provided with rear seat entertainment system with two 20.3 cm displays and Kleer wireless headphones.
Both the models of Mercedes-Benz GLE are locking its horns against BMW X6.
The Mercedes-Benz also introduced a GLC SUV, it is the midsize SUV which is bigger than Merc GLK model and is available in one trim only i.e. GLC 250 4MATIC. At the exterior end, it receives AMG body styling with LED Intelligent Light System that perfectly matches with the pair of sleek LED tail lamps at the rear. It rolls on 255/45 series tyres covered 20-inch AMG multi-spoke alloy wheels.
Inside the cabin, it resembles with its sedan sibling. It receives three spoke steering wheel, wide dashboard having 7-inch infotainment display, two-pod instrument cluster with a multi-info display and large AC vents. Along with 590-Watt, 13-speaker Burmester sound system, a full panoramic sliding sunroof and keyless ignition system as standard features.
Earlier in this month, the Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has also announced that prices for all of its models are remain unchanged for 2016. As the premium car market is seeing more sales and become tough in the country, many manufacturers are coming forward to give various astonishing offers to place itself at the top. With such offerings, the German manufacturer has taken a smart step to maintain its unique presence and trying to add more numbers in its sales chart as well.
