Meet the Chinese-only limited Maserati Ghibli Hybrid Love Audacious

KUALA LUMPUR: Yes, there is now a Maserati Ghibli Hybrid edition called Love Audacious. What’s the deal?

Well, this particular edition was created by the Italian automaker in collaboration with the Chinese fashion brand, CANOTWAIT_, with actor, singer Willam Chan Wai-Ting as the founder.

The Maserati Ghibli Hybrid Love Audacious was unveiled on May 20th (520), a date assigned to celebrate love in China. We must say, a great and stylish way to participate in the Chinese love celebration.

Now that we know the story behind the birth of the Ghibli Hybrid Love Audacious, it is time to get into the details and inclusions. But, first let’s discuss the colour in question - Love Audacious.

Maserati Fuoriserie customisation programme is the birth origin of the Ghibli Hybrid Love Audacious which gets a special exterior paint coat called the Digital Aurora. This one is a unique emotional hue inspired by the sunrise and ‘magical Aurora light’. The tone can be best explained as a blend of relaxing blue and burned decisive purple with pink flakes. Furthermore, the partners claimed that the purple tone was picked for its “feather-light touch of mystery and rarity”. Not to forget it’s one of William Chan’s favourite colours.

The Maserati Ghibli Hybrid Love Audacious features Dark Miron painted 20-inch that sure contributes to the vehicle's stunning style. Also, sitting on the front fender is CANOTWAIT_ moniker and it blends in perfectly with the car. On the inside too there are bits and pieces that remind ONE of this one of a kind collaboration.

Powering it will be the same tried and tested 2.0-litre turbo-four mill with 48-volt alternator and an “eBooster’” electric supercharger. Together they pump out a maximum power of 330 PS and a peak torque of 450 Nm. On the performance front, the car covers a century sprint in just 5.7 seconds and has a top speed of 255 kmph. The power is sent to the rear wheels via a ZF 8-speed auto gearbox.

The two partners (Maserati and Willam Chan Wai-Ting) even went to the length of launching a pop-up store in Shanghai wherein customers and fashion influencers get to experience the journey of this stunning Ghibli Hybrid edition.

In total, only eight units of the Maserati Ghibli Hybrid Love Audacious model have been made available in China. For the rest of us, we only have to ourselves its beautiful images.
