Maserati unveils new trims for 2022 Levante, Quattroporte, and Ghibli

KUALA LUMPUR: Maserati cars are known for innovation, performance, and design that match up with customers’ ever-growing demand for personalization. The recent examples are Maserati’s new exclusive trims introduced for the Ghibli, Quattroporte, and Levante 2022 Model Year. The new trims are dubbed as GT, Modena, and Trofeo, reflecting different styling and powertrain options. Let’s discuss each one by one, starting with the new entry-level GT.

The 2022 Maserati GT trim enhances the appearance of regular models by adding chrome inserts on the exterior, along with 18-inch wheel rims (for Ghibli and Levante) or 19-inch alloys (for Quattroporte). Inside, it ramps up the look by adding leather comfort seats with a Dark Mirror Trim for Ghibli GT, a radical trim for Quattroporte GT, and a Black Piano for Levante GT.

Powering the Ghibli GT and Levante GT is the 4-cylinder mild-hybrid powertrain that generates a maximum power of 330 hp. On the contrary, the Quattroporte GT gets power from a 350 hp V6 engine.

Next on the list is the Maserati Modena trim that targets the sports enthusiasts “looking for a balance of innate elegance, dynamism, and fun-to-drive.” This special trim elevates the car’s athleticism by sport bumpers with Black Piano inserts and 20-inch alloy wheel rims.

The interior is decked up with sporty leather seats and Black Piano Trim for Levante and Quattroporte or Dark Mirror Trim for Ghibli. Nerissimo Pack and red brake calipers are available on the Modena S trim.

Under the hood, the 2022 Ghibli Modena and Levante Modena get a V6 gasoline engine good for making 350 hp while the Quattroporte Modena equips a 430-hp V6 mill. The Levante Modena S is powered by a 550 hp V8.

Sitting on top of the range is the Maserati Trofeo trim, which adds carbon fibre trimming, 21-inch alloy wheel rims, and red brake calipers to the exterior styling. For the interior, it brings on board sport seats wrapped in full-grain “Pieno Fiore” natural leather. All the Maserati Trofeo models are equipped with a powerful 580 hp V8 Twin Turbo engine. 

Further differentiating the new trims is the new Maserati logo on the bonnet, the new Trident logo on the C pillar, and restyled rear lettering. The specific badges are also positioned just above the cars’ side air ducts.
