Facelifted Mercedes-Benz E-250 Coupe Arrives in Malaysia – Priced at RM428K

Kuala Lumpur: Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has recently announced the official launch of facelifted E-250 Coupe in the country. The noteworthy thing about this E-class coupe is that it's price is much lower than the model which was spotted at showrooms, last year, because that model was an high-spec variant of E-250 Coupe while the one that is launched in the country is a standard run variant. In Malaysia, the coupe will be available in a sole E-250 variant only. The front-fascia of E-250 Coupe features full-LED headlights besides the distinct four-eyed look of the E-Class. The coupe also comes with AMG Line kit, which includes aggressively-styled front and rear bumpers, side skirts besides 18-inch AMG five-double-spoke alloy wheels. Inside, there is a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel with Direct Select lever and shift paddles, a full-colour TFT Screen and an analogue clock alongside the optional wood or aluminium materials across the two-party trim dashboard.

The interior of E-250 also features a 7-inch high-resolution coloured COMAND online multimedia system with internet connectivity, hard-disk navigation and emergency call features. Also, you can customise the interior with various colour combinations. Coming to the technology, the E-250 Coupe is well-equipped with an electromechanical Direct-Steer System, speed-sensitive Power Assistance with a variable steering ratio and a road-adapting Agility Control Suspension with selective damping as a standard item.

The powertrain of the E-250 Coupe comprises a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder BlueDIRECT petrol engine which can produce 211 hp of power at 5,500 rpm and 50 Nm of torque at 1,200 to 4,000 rpm mated to a seven-speed 7G-tronic plus automatic transmission. The coupe can make the century sprint in just 7.1 seconds while its top speed is limited to 250km/h. The facelifted Mercedes-Benz E-250 Coupe for the Malaysian market is priced at RM428,888, excluding insurance. The E-Class coupe is quite affordable than the one which was spotted at the showroom last year because it was priced at RM490,888 – that's RM62,000 more than the price of the aforementioned E-250 coupe launched in Malaysia.
