Custom Rolls-Royce Phantom, made in red to fight AIDS

KUALA LUMPUR: Rolls-Royce recently unveiled a customised Red Phantom to assist (RED)’s fight to end AIDS. (RED) is a global organisation for charity. Its campaign to fight the global phenomena has received recognition from many prominent businesses such as Apple, which launched a limited edition Red iPhone range.

The official display event of the Red Phantom is all set to take place at a gala event in Miami on 4th of December 2019. The car will be available for online auction immediately post-launch, exclusively available at Sotheby’s online auction. The online auction will last until 13th December 2019 and the proceeds from the auctions will go to (RED), after excluding the costs.

The Custom Rolls-Royce Phantom features an elegant Crystal over Magma Red paint finish. The car comprises of five-layers of paint, each hand-polished with particles of crystal that were sprayed into the final layers to create a luxurious aura. Also, the winning bidder of the elegant beauty gets to collaborate with Micklane Thomas, one of the leading artists of the world, to customise the vehicle.

The interiors of the Custom Rolls-Royce Phantom get a bespoke Arctic white leather padding with Mugello Red contrast settings. The instrument panel of the car gets Red Regatta sails within a single piece of glass fascia, giving it an exclusive look. The wooden veneers sport a perfect finish with six layers of hand-painted lacquer. Marking the luxurious car makers 115th brand anniversary, the vehicle also gets custom trad plates.

The organisation (RED), to date, has generated over US$600 million ( approx. RM 2.5 billion)
in Global funds to fight AIDS. The movement has impacted over 140 million people which include HIV testing, care services, treatment and counselling.
