BMW to say goodbye to almighty V12 engine with a special model
KUALA LUMPUR: As the automotive industry carries on with the smaller engines on its way to pure-electric vehicles, BMW is also ready to bid farewell to its long-running V12 mill. The German automaker introduced the first roadgoing V12-powered model in 1987, and now after running it successfully for 35 years, BMW will end its production this year with a special limited-edition BMW M760i xDrive Final V12.

In addition, BMW will also offer over 80 exterior hues and multiple tones of opulent Full Merino leather interior trim for creating a different personal statement.
Under the hood of the ultimate luxury sports sedan, the 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12 mill will generate a maximum power output of 448 kW (601 hp) between 5,500-6,500 rpm and a peak torque of 850 Nm. The engine will be mated to an eight-speed Sport Automatic transmission sending power to all four wheels. On the performance side, the Final V12 model will clock the 0-100 kmph mark in 3.6 seconds.
The model will be equipped with hi-tech systems like BMW’s Driving Assistance Professional Package, Luxury Rear Seating Package, Icon Adaptive LED Headlights with Laserlight, Panoramic Sky Lounge LED Roof, and Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound Audio System.
