Let’s discuss the Bentley Flying Spur Hybrid specifications in detail -
Engine and performance
Under the hood of the hybrid Flying Spur, we can find a 2.9-litre V6 engine mated to an electric motor, in place of bigger mills such as 6.0-litre W12 or 4.0-litre V8 available in the non-hybrid versions. According to the automaker, the combination of the internal combustion engine and the advanced electric motor delivers the same practicality and flexibility associated with the W12 and V8 drivetrains, along with a responsive, engaging, and supremely refined experience.
Talking about the output, the V6 mill cranks out a maximum power output of 416 hp and a peak torque of 550 Nm while the electric motor is good for making 136 hp and 400 Nm. Combinedly, the hybrid setup delivers 544 hp and 750 Nm. Feeding the electric motor is an 18-kWh battery pack that takes 2.5 hours for a full charge when using a fast charger.
The power is sent to all wheels via a ZF eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox paired with an active all-wheel drive system. Included in the three dedicated drive modes are Hybrid, EV Drive, and Hold.
In terms of performance, the electrified grand tourer runs from zero to 100 kmph in 4.1 seconds and achieves a top speed of 285 kmph. The car delivers a total driving range of 800 km when fully fueled with an all-electric drive of 40 km (on the WLTP cycle). In pure-electric mode, it can hit a top speed of 140 kmph.
Exterior
The hybrid Flying Spur looks sophisticated from every angle just like the non-electrified trims. Among the key exterior cues are the huge front grille with vertical bars, a sculpted hood with a retractable ‘Flying B’ mascot, a wide air dam, matrix LED headlights, LED tail lights, and 20-inch multi-spoke alloy rims (21- or 22-inch available as optional).
At the same time, the cues confirming the identity of the hybrid trim are ‘Hybrid’ badges on the front fenders, the charging port positioned on the rear left fender, and quad oval tailpipes.
Dimensionally, the hybrid Bentley is 5316 mm long, 2013 mm wide, and 1483 mm tall. The wheelbase is measured at 3194 mm.
