All-new Mercedes-Benz S-Class launched in Indonesia
KUALA LUMPUR: After Singapore, Mercedes-Benz S-Class arrives in the Indonesian market, thus making it the second nation to receive the sedan. The Indo-spec S-Class is offered in one signal trim option, a V223 (long-wheelbase) S 450 4Matic Luxury.
Let’s now discuss the new S-Class luxury sedan in detail, starting with its exterior bit.
2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class exterior
The new S-Class is a flagship model in the automaker’s lineup and so it is turned with all the best-in-class luxury features. Included in the list is a stylish Digital Light headlight unit with 1.3-million micro-mirrors that not only direct light, but also project images on the ground.
The side profile gets pop-up door handles that sure is an interesting addition. The S-Class runs on 20-inch ten-spoke alloy wheels covered in run-flat tyres with foam absorbers to reduce rolling noise.
Also, part of the kit is new LED tail lights with square-grid graphic and a ginormous panoramic sunroof.

As expected, the new S-Class keeps up with the reputation of the name and comes with several standard features. Most interesting being the inclusion of the second-gen MBUX infotainment system that controls every signal function of the car.

2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class engine
The Indo-spec S-Class luxury sedan is powered by a 3.0-litre straight-six turbocharged engine making a maximum power of 367 hp along with a peak torque of 500 Nm. The power is sent to all four wheels via a 9G-Tronic automatic transmission.
Furthermore, the EQ Boost 48V mild-hybrid system delivers an extra power of 22 hp and 250 Nm of torque.
On the performance side, the luxury sedan completes the century sprint in just 5.1 seconds and the top speed is electronically limited at 250 kmph.

The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class is turned by several best-in-class safety and security features. The key inclusion being the world’s first rear-passenger frontal airbags.

The Indo-spec S-Class luxury sedan is priced at IDR 3 billion (approx. RM 883K) with the deliveries slated to commence from next month.
