Coming to the coupe’s comfort and safety bits following are the key highlights that will make the drive super amazing with supreme peace of mind -
Digital cockpit: The Mercedes-Benz User Experience enables the car to understand every word the driver says. The car speaks your language making the communication effortless. For instance, all the content and functions of the owner's smartphone can be integrated into the coupe.
MBUX touch control concept: The new MBUX touch control concept offers a new GLC coupe with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a touchpad, and a Touch Control button on the steering wheel. All these gears will enable the driver to operate and adjust virtually all functions with a single finger like it’s done on a smartphone.
MBUX voice control: The MBUX voice control allows the new GLC Coupe to listen and talk back to the driver. By just saying “Hey Mercedes”, the driver can converse with the car in a perfectly natural manner to adjust and control all the functions virtually.
Smartphone integration: When driving the new GLC Coupe the driver has the option to operate the smartphone without having to use their hands at all. All that the driver needs to do is connect the smartphone to the system via USB cable, NFC, or Bluetooth. This will show all the key apps and functions on the media display, allowing the driver to operate them by spoken commands or touch control.
Touchpad: Via the touchpad, the driver can operate the infotainment system display as is done on a smartphone. For instance, with just single gestures the content can be shifted or enlarged. It even recognises the owner's handwriting in case there is a need to enter an address or phone number.
Burmester surround sound system: The legendary Burmester sound offers enhanced performance and exclusivity on the sound front. The high-performance speakers give out first-class surround sound experience, even the sound experience can be optimized individually at the front and rear seats.
THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control: The GLC Coupe benefits from automatic climate control that offers an individual feel-good atmosphere inside. The driver and front passenger can set temperature, climate style, and air distribution to their personal needs. The rear gets its separate third climate zone with separately adjustable airflow and temperature.
In addition to several comfort features, the new GLC 300e has the ability to anticipate danger and respond reliably, keeping everything inside safe and sound. The safety kit includes -
Active Brake Assist: This system helps avoid rear-end collisions with vehicles in front and stationary vehicles. It also prevents accidents with moving cyclists and pedestrians. The system not only gives distance and collision warnings but also offers braking assistance via autonomous emergency braking.
PRE-SAFE system: This one here uses the time prior to an impending collision or accident. The PRE-SAFE Sound makes a noise that triggers a natural protective reflex that protects the inner ear by damping the collision noise.
Blind Spot Assist: As soon as the turn indicator is activated the Blind Spot Assist comes into action. The system offers both visual and audio warnings in case it detects a side collision with vehicles in the blind spot. The system event remains alert after the trip, it will warn if the door is open at the wrong time.
Lane Tracking Package: This one combines the benefits of two assistance systems - Blind Spot Assist and Active Keeping Assist. While the former keeps a track of the parallel traffic and the latter keeps a watchful eye on any unintentional lane change. Let us discuss the two assists in detail. The Blind Spot Assist includes a collision warning function while driving and an exit warning function after the journey. The Active Lane Keeping Assist, on the other hand, comes with a course-correcting function, warning function (via steering vibration), and Warning & operational readiness (from Standard to Sensitive).
Multibeam LED: The adaptive Multibeam LED headlights come with individually controlled LEDs to react to the given traffic scenario. The partial main beam does not dazzle other users on the road. Adding up to the lighting efficiency is ULTRA RANGE High Beam, cornering light, and active light function.
Impressive, huh? The new GLC Coupe is surely a great hybrid loaded with an era of features all there to make the journey comforting and relaxed. What do you think of the new Mercedes-Benz? Let us know in the comments.
