So, what does the new Taycan bring to the table? Let us know.

In the global markets, the Porsche Taycan received a mid-cycle update back in February. The latest model boasts an enhanced design, new technology, upgraded chassis and suspension system, and improved performance.

On the exterior, the refreshed EV gets new front and rear design elements lending it a clearer and wider appearance. The newly-designed LED headlights come with HD-Matrix Design and unique four-point graphics enhancing aesthetics as well as visibility. At the rear, there is a new 3D Porsche logo integrated into the rear light bar. Porsche has also added new colour options for customization.

Inside, the all-new Porsche Taycan benefits from a new user interface for the instrument cluster, head unit, and optional passenger display along with added functions such as deeper integration of Apple CarPlay and in-car video function. The EV now sports a standard mode switch on the steering wheel and a special push-to-pass button with the Sport Chrono package and Performance Battery Plus package.

The upgraded standard kit comprises a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, power-folding side mirrors, ambient lighting, and wireless charging. Lane Change Assist, ParkAssist with reversing camera, and Porsche Intelligent Range Manager, among others.

Under the skin, the new Taycan models get an adaptive air suspension, replacing the traditional steel springs. However, buyers of the all-wheel-drive models can also choose Porsche Active Ride roll stabilisation, enabling the car to lean into corners just like motorcycles. Not only that, the new suspension system can also lift the EV by 55 mm, facilitating easier entry and exit for occupants.

Porsche designers also reduced the EV’s weight by up to 15 kg to improve handling and efficiency. They also integrated a new rear motor into the design to enhance overall performance and significantly upgraded the regenerative braking system, which is now capable of capturing up to 400 kW of kinetic energy. It helps in improving the braking efficiency and extends the driving range.

The latest versions of all Taycan models also feature “more power, more range, accelerate quicker and charge faster with greater stability,” claims the automaker. Notably, the Taycan and Taycan Turbo S hit the century sprint in just 4.8 and 2.4 seconds, respectively, which makes them 0.6 and 0.4 seconds quicker than their predecessors.

Depending on the body style and drivetrain, the driving range has also extended up to 678 km, marking a substantial increase of 35%. Porsche further confirmed that new models recharge faster at 800-volt DC charging stations.
