2023 BMW 7 Series launched in Malaysia, check full details

Globally revealed in April 2022, the all-new seventh-generation BMW 7 Series has finally made its way to the Malaysian market. The revamped luxury sedan is offered in two PHEV variants here - 750e xDrive M Sport and 750e xDrive Pure Excellence. The prices are as follows -

Included in the price is an extended five-year unlimited mileage warranty, a free scheduled service programme, roadside assistance, BMW Service Online, and BMW Group Loyalty+ Mobile App. It should be noted that the availability of the Pure Excellence variant is limited to just 48 units.

2023 BMW 7 Series engine specifications

Both variants are powered by the same 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six engine coupled with an electric motor. Together, the setup churns out a maximum power of 489 hp and a peak torque of 700 Nm. The power is sent to the wheels via an eight-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox and xDrive all-wheel drive system. 

Also part of the kit is a 22.1 kWh battery pack that offers an all-electric range of up to 87 km. It can be charged in less than three hours via an onboard 7.4 kW AC charger.

Performance-wise, the luxury sedan runs from zero to 100 kmph in 4.8 seconds and attains a top speed of 250 kmph. In all-electric mode, the top speed is restricted to 140 kmph.

The new 7 Series is available in several exciting tones. Including Oxide Grey Metallic, Black Sapphire Metallic, and Mineral White Metallic. In addition to these, the M Sport trim exclusively comes in Brooklyn Grey Metallic while the Pure Excellence version is exclusively offered in Sophisto Grey Metallic.

The next-gen 7 Series comes kitted with an iconic Glow illuminated kidney grille frame flanked by split headlights. The latter is divided into two pieces; the upper slim lights house the daytime running lights, while the lower ones are placed in a hidden module in the bumper. Also, parts of the exterior kit are L-shaped tail lights, automatic doors, and Sky Lounge panoramic glass roof.

Coming to the variant-exclusive bits, the Pure Excellence variant rides on 19-inch double-spoke style 903 alloy wheels while the M Sport comes with an exclusive exterior package that includes -

• 20-inch M aerodynamic style 907 alloys
• Sportier front and rear aprons
• M high-gloss Shadowline
• M side sills

The latest BMW 7 Series features a well-crafted cabin that exudes luxury from every nook and corner. With the Pure Excellence variant, you get a fine-wood oak mirror finish trim with grey metallic highlights. On the other hand, the M Sport variant features M signature high gloss fine-wood finish in Fineline Black, complemented by metal effect highlights.
