Daiichi Caro Pro 110 Review 2024
Abhishek Katariya says
The Daiichi Caro Pro 110 is one of the most premium mini-motorcycles available in the Malaysian two-wheeler market. This entry-level motorcycle from the Chinese automaker Daiichi has been introduced for those who want a simple, no-frolic mobility solution and can live with a basic-looking and equipped motorcycle. The Daiichi Caro Pro 110 is being offered in the Malaysian market in two colour options of white and red.

Daiichi Caro Pro 110 Design
The mini-motorcycle design of the Daiichi Caro Pro 110 has a polarizing appeal to it – while some might love its diminutive and funky stance, the design looks a bit disproportionate in the real world. It also looks a bit cheap, which is a given trait considering the price point at which it is available.
At the front, the Daiichi Caro Pro 110 has a very simple-looking fascia, with the big rounded headlamp positioned in the centre. This large headlamp is encased within a hemispherical casing, the sides of which get amber rounded turn indicators mounted on them. What catches one’s attention here are the golden finish for the front forks and the upswept and oddly designed curved handlebar. The high-mounted chrome-finished front fender above the front wheel completes the look of the Daiichi Caro Pro 110 at the front.
The side profile of the Daiichi Caro Pro 110 looks a bit weird, with the stretched wheelbase and body over the frame of the motorcycle giving a basic and disproportionate appeal to the motorcycle. The Daiichi Caro Pro 110 gets big 15-inch wheels with bigger profile tyres, which add some visual mass to the otherwise bare-bones motorcycle. The high-mounted long chrome-finished exhaust pipe rises from the grey-themed engine, which is mounted quite high from the ground. The Daiichi Caro Pro 110 gets along a single-piece seat, which is big enough to accommodate two riders.
At the back, the Daiichi Caro Pro 110 has a very utilitarian design with a functional tubular grab rail, which can be used for mounting your small luggage, and a simple-looking tail lamp cluster with a rounded tail lamp and amber turn indicators below the grab rail. Like the front wheel, the rear wheel is accompanied by a high-mounted chrome-finished fender.
What makes the Daiichi Caro Pro 110 look unique is the upswept handlebar, which truly gives a very unique riding posture to the rider. Behind this unique handlebar, the Daiichi Caro Pro 110 gets a simplistic all-analog instrument console, which packs in analog dials for speedometer and odometer only. The fit and finish levels are another department, where the Daiichi Caro Pro 110 requires some big improvements.
Caro Pro 110 Ride & Handling
Like the design, the mechanical hardware of the Daiichi Caro Pro 110 is pretty basic. The motorcycle has a simple tubular frame, which also happens to be the main body panel of it. For the suspension duties, the Daiichi Caro Pro 110 is armed with a conventional suspension combination of hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and dual-sided hydraulic coil springs at the rear. While the compact size and dimensions of the motorcycle give it easy manoeuvrability, the upswept handlebar can be a paint to handle for longer commutes due to awkward positioning.
Daiichi Caro Pro 110 Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Daiichi Caro Pro shares its small four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 72cc engine with the Caro 70 AX. Mated to a 4-speed gearbox, this engine is one of the smallest engines you can have in a two-wheeler in Malaysia. This engine puts up a maximum power output of 5.3 bhp and enables the motorcycle to reach a decent top speed of 75 kmph.
Caro Pro 110 Braking & Safety
Given its basic entry-level positioning, Daiichi has chosen to skip modern-day safety features in the Caro Pro 110 to keep its price in check. The motorcycle even misses out on crucial safety essentials like a proper ABS.
Daiichi Caro Pro 110 Verdict
While the Daiichi Caro Pro 110 might not be a motorcycle that you will buy for its abilities, the motorcycle serves its purpose as a basic entry-level commuter. The mini-bike styling with the upswept handlebar surely makes it an attention-grabbing machine.
