Currently, the car is available in 3 variants namely A 200 Blue Efficiency, A 250 Sport and A 45 AMG 4Matic. Whereas, the A 250 Sport comes in a 2.0-litre petrol engine that can deliver a maximum power of 155 kW at 5500 rpm alongwith a peak torque of 350 Nm between 1200 to 4000 rpm and a fuel economy of around 16 kmpl. All these drives cover the 0-100 kmph mark from a halt in just around 5-6.5 seconds while the top speed lies in the range of 200-220 kmph.

Overall the Mercedes Benz A Class is as good as an entry level luxury can get. It is a perfect blend of luxury features accompanied by high power. However one little setback may be the rear seat which offers to be a little cramped from roof line especially for taller passengers along with boot space which is less as compared to the rivals in the hatchback segment.
