VW Arteon R-Line now open for booking

KUALA LUMPUR: Volkswagen Malaysia is now taking pre-booking orders for the new Arteon sedan. The car would be sold as a fully imported unit in Malaysia and is expected to carry a price tag within RM 290,000 to RM 310,000 range. It was back in 2018 when the VW five-door fastback first made an appearance in the local market.

The Malaysia-spec model of the Arteon is powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder TSI mill that churns out a maximum power of 280 PS along with a peak torque of 350 Nm. The power is sent down to the wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Also, there is a 4Motion permanent all-wheel-drive system.

The car comes with Dynamic Chassis Control and gets five different driving modes - Individual, Eco, Sport, Normal, and Comfort. Volkswagen’s famous XDS electronic differential lock is also offered as standard, and the car stands on 19-inch wheels.

VW Arteon R-Line equipment list includes - new Active Info Display, a fully-digital instrument console, 360-degree area view camera, and a top-of-the-line 9.2-inch Discover Pro infotainment system with Wireless App-Connect, Mirror Link, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and gesture control. In addition, the car comes fitted with R-Line package both on the inside and outside.

Once launched the Volkswagen Arteon will be offered in eight exterior color tones - Pyrite Silver, Manganese Grey, Oryx White Pearl, Deep Black, Turmeric Yellow, Reflex Silver, Urano Grey, and Romance Red.
