UMW Toyota reveals September 2024 sales; Vios and Hilux among top-sellers

KUALA LUMPUR: UMW Toyota has revealed its sales numbers for September 2024. During the last month of the third quarter, the Japanese automaker sold a total of 7,700 units, which is approximately 9% less than the 8,500 units sold in August 2024. Notably, September is typically a slow month for vehicle sales in Malaysia. 

UMW Toyota is one of the key players in the Malaysian automotive market. Its consistent sales growth is supported by a strong lineup of reliable and innovative vehicles. The company’s year-to-date sales stand at 72,000 units. 

Speaking of Toyota's best-selling models in Malaysia, the Vios, Hilux, and Corolla Cross lead the sales charts, collectively accounting for 69% of Toyota's total sales. Each of these models caters to different needs of Malaysian consumers; the Vios is best suited for daily city driving, the rugged Hilux for off-road adventures, and the Corolla Cross for a balance of comfort and utility.

While commenting on the company’s achievements, Datuk Ravindran K., President of UMW Toyota Motor said, “We are proud of our performance this month, which reflects not only the strength of our products but also the loyalty of our customers. We remain committed to delivering value and innovative automotive solutions that match the aspirations of Malaysians.”

Moving forward, UMWT has rolled out the October 2024 promo called "Move in Harmony," which offers exciting discounts to prospective buyers. They can enjoy up to RM 9,500 savings on the purchase of the brand-new Yaris, with monthly installments starting from as low as RM 658.

As for maintenance, customers can opt for the Toyota Service Savers program offering monthly payments of as low as RM 31.

Speaking of UMW Toyota's upcoming public appearance, the company will participate in the Paultan ACE 2024 sales expo, set to be held at Setia City Convention Centre on 26th – 27th October 2024.

The Japanese automaker will showcase a wide range of vehicles and offer event-exclusive special promotions and test-drive opportunities to potential customers. The event is expected to attract approximately 12,000 visitors.
