KUALA LUMPUR: Tesla is on a mission to enhance the EV infrastructure in Malaysia, making electric vehicle ownership more accessible and practical for buyers. The top-selling EV brand recently inaugurated a new Supercharging Station In Pavilion Bukit Jalil consisting of 6 Superchargers and 2 Destination Chargers.

As the automaker has yet to enable non-Tesla supercharging functionality in Malaysia, the Destination Charging bays are also specifically labelled as "Tesla Charging Only," indicating that the Wall Connectors are programmed to support only Tesla EVs.

    The Tesla Supercharging Station at Pavilion Bukit Jalil is open 24 hours; the charging rates are as follows:

    • Charger - The supercharging rate is RM 1.25/kWh, with an idle fee of up to RM 4.00 per minute when the station is 100% occupied
    • Carpark (Monday-Friday) - The charging rate is RM 2.00 for the first 2 hours or part thereof, RM 1.00 for every subsequent hour or part thereof, with a maximum charge of RM 15.00 per day (7am-7am)
    • Carpark (Weekends & Public Holidays) - The charging rate is RM 3.00 for the first hour or part thereof, RM 1.00 for every subsequent hour or part thereof, with a maximum charge of RM 15.00 per day (7am-7am)

    With the opening of the new station, Tesla Malaysia now has a total of 6 Supercharging stations (30 Superchargers) and 6 Destination charging stations (25 Chargers) in Malaysia.
