Body styles
The all-new 2023 Peugeot 508 is offered in two body styles - sedan and wagon.
Design language
The new Peugeot 508 can be easily distinguishable from its predecessor thanks to several inclusions. The list includes -
- Updated signature daytime-running light
- New three-stripe ‘claw’ design
- Slimmer headlight with matrix LED illumination
- Updated grille with marque’s new emblem
- Revamped bumper with ‘borderless’ design
- New Peugeot script between the tail lights
- Restyled tail light with tripe-claw light signature in a slanted orientation
- 18-inch aluminum wheels
Color scheme
The car’s colour palette now includes three new tones namely - Titanium Grey, Okenite White, and Eclipse Blue.
Interior revisions
For the model year 2023, the Peugeot 508 gets new software for its 10-inch touchscreen infotainment display. The setup now includes connectivity features like - wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, voice recognition, over-the-air software, and a TomTom Connected satellite navigation system.
Also, part of the update is a new toggle switch replacing the gear lever.
Powertrain configuration
The new Peugeot 508 misses out on the brand’s new mild-hybrid engine (recently introduced in the 3008 and 5008). Instead, it moves on the same old engines- a 1.2-litre PureTech inline-three and a 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbodiesel unit.
A 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine serves the car in export markets like Asia, Africa, and Europe.
Also available are three plug-in hybrid options including a 1.6-litre PureTech engine paired with an 81 kW e-motor in two tunings (180 hp and 225 hp) and a 1.6-litre Pure Tech mill with an extra 83 kW motor on the rear axle (360 hp).
