Perodua teams up with MyDigital ID — One login for Perodua’s digital services

KUALA LUMPUR: Perodua is the largest automotive brand in Malaysia that remains focused on serving local customers with high-standard products and services. In line with this vision, the automaker has recently signed a memorandum of understanding with My Digital ID Sdn Bhd to enhance user authentication for its cashless transactions.

MyDigital ID is a national authentication system that offers a single, secure digital identity to Malaysians. It allows users to log in to multiple apps and portals with a single verification system and thus eliminates the need for multiple passwords. 

Perodua-MyDigital ID collaboration marks a significant milestone in the local automotive industry as the former becomes the first automaker to integrate this streamlined digital access system into its services.

“This collaboration is the first of its kind in Malaysia’s automotive industry. By leveraging MyDigital ID’s authentication system, we can diversify our services and offer a more secure experience to our customers,” said Perodua President and CEO, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad. 

What benefits will it offer to Perodua customers?

By adopting MyDigital ID, Perodua customers will benefit from -

• Simplified digital access: Customers are not required to remember multiple passwords for different services.
• Enhanced security: As authentication is a critical first step in cybersecurity, the single digital identity system will protect customers against cyber threats.
• Seamless online transactions: Customers can easily verify their identity for Perodua’s digital services.

This partnership is part of Perodua’s broader commitment to improving digital experiences as in the past six months, the company has formed strategic partnerships with Petronas, Tenaga Nasional Bhd, and Telekom Malaysia Bhd to enhance the overall digital experience for Malaysians.

“These collaborations will bring a wider range of products and services to our future customers while maintaining the highest safety standards,” added Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad. 

“In addition, we are also supporting the government’s call for a more cashless society for convenience as well as leveraging on the robust cyber security feature provided by MyDigital ID,” he said.

How to register for MyDigital ID?

To register for MyDigital ID, Perodua customers can choose any of the following two methods -

• Download the MyDigital ID app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and follow the registration steps.
• Visit any Designated Kiosks across the country and complete their verification process.
