Perodua Bezza Engine specifications
On the mechanical front, the 2020 Perodua Bezza borrowed engine options from its predecessor model. The lower variants house a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, 12 valve DOHC engine churning out a maximum power of 67 hp and a peak torque of 91 Nm. On contrary, the higher trims carry a 1.3-litre 4- cylinder, 16 valve DOHC petrol unit that produces 94 hp and 121 Nm. Both the engines are mated to a four-speed automatic transmission, with the conventional five-speed manual gearbox restricted to the base trim.
Regarding the Perodua Bezza fuel consumption, the automaker says that its EEV (Energy Efficient Vehicle) engines are built lightweight and tuned to improve fuel consumption and to reduce levels of vibration and noise. Perodua claims that the 1.3-litre engine delivers an imposing mileage of up to 22 kmpl, while the 1.0-litre unit is good at 21.3 kmpl.
Perodua Bezza safety
Even though the 2020 Bezza comes at a budget price, it is a safe car that hosts an impressive safety suite, including Advanced Safety Assist (ASA) 2.0. It consists of pre-collision braking (up to 80 kmph), pre-collision warning (up to 100 kmph), front departure alert, pedestrian detection (up to 50 kmph), and pedal misoperation control. However, this is available only with the range-topping variant.
Other features include dual SRS airbags, vehicle stability control, hill start assist, traction control, ABS with EBD, brak-assist, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX system, and one-touch function with jam protection on the driver's side
