Official prices for the Mercedes-Benz EQB and EQC announced
KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-Benz Malaysia introduced the electric equivalents of the GLB and GLC SUVs, the Mercedes-Benz EQB and EQC, earlier in July. Back then, the German marque remained tight-lipped on the pricing of these luxury electric vehicles. Well, it’s time for the official price reveal.

The mentioned prices are on-the-road without insurance. It’s to be noted that battery-powered electric vehicles are currently tax-free in Malaysia as the local government is embracing vehicle electrification while acknowledging their benefits.
Here’s a quick recap of the EVs, starting with the EQB 350 4MATIC.
Based on the GLB, the Mercedes-Benz EQB 350 4MATIC is a seven-seater electric SUV which packs a dual-motor configuration under the skin. The motors combinedly churn out 292 PS of maximum power and 520 Nm of peak torque, enabling the EV to hit the century sprint in 6.2 seconds.
The dual-motor setup is paired with a 66.5 kWh battery pack, offering a WLTP-claimed driving range of 423 km. As for charging, the battery takes around 32 minutes for 0 to 80% SoC when using a 100-kW DC charger.
Included in the EV’s equipment kit are LED High Performance headlamps, 19-inch light-alloy wheels, Nappa leather sports steering with shift paddles, Artico synthetic leather upholstery, MBUX multimedia system, wireless charging, head-up display, Thermotronic climate control, Parking Package, Driving Assistance Package and much more.
Moving to the Mercedes-Benz EQC 400 4MATIC, which is an electric counterpart of the popular GLC. It comes equipped with two motors fuelled by an 80-kWh battery pack. The motors generate 408 PS and 760 Nm of torque taking the SUV from nought to 100 kmph in 5.1 seconds. The driving range you get with the electric GLC is 437 km.
With the help of a 110kW DC fast charger, the battery gets 80% charged in 40 minutes.
The better-equipped EQC 400 4Matic features Multibeam LED headlights with Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, 20-inch AMG light-alloy wheel, AMG Line body kit, Nappa leather sport steering wheel with shift paddles, dual 10.25-inch displays, head-up display, Burmester Surround Sound System, Driving Assistance Package, and much more.
