Next-gen Rolls-Royce Ghost to be revealed by Nov 2020
KUALA LUMPUR: Finally, the day had come when Rolls-Royce announced the development of the all-new Ghost. The BMW-owned automaker has revealed the first sketch that hints towards a car with a minimalistic design theme.
The company's CEO, Torsten Müller-Ötvös, stressed the importance of simplicity and minimalism in an open letter. As per the automaker's findings, the customers are now inclined towards a more minimalistic design that evokes class rather than flamboyant themes with riches-on-wheel appearance.
The second-gen Ghost was under development for the past five years, and the COVD-19 pandemic halted the work entirely. A new design was then put in place by the designers at Home of Rolls-Royce and Luxury Intelligence Unit. The new layout has almost reached the compilation state and will be unveiled in Autumn 2020.
Though the company has not revealed much about the car, however, we expect the next-gen Ghost to feature the same platform as the BMW 7 Series. Under the hood, it is likely to get the same tried and tested 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12 power plant.
More detailed information about the upcoming Ghost is on its way, as Rolls-Royce has promised to release a few mini-series of animations in the next few weeks. So, stay tuned with Zigwheels for all the latest updates on the new Ghost.
