MINI Malaysia Introduces the All-New MINI Aceman and Previews new MINI Cooper S 5-Door - From RM214k

KUALA LUMPUR: MINI Malaysia has unveiled the all-new MINI Aceman, marking its entry into the fully electric compact crossover segment, while also providing an exclusive preview of the new MINI Cooper S 5-Door.

The New MINI Aceman is priced from RM 213,888, with an optional MINI Extended Warranty & Service Package for RM 7,400. The MINI Cooper S 5-Door is estimated to cost from RM 293,000, with an additional warranty package estimated at RM 10,400.

What you need to know about the new MINI Aceman

The MINI Aceman is the brand's first electric crossover in the premium small car segment. It features an octagonal front grille framed in Vibrant Silver and LED headlights with three customizable light signatures.

The vehicle sits on 19-inch Hexagram spoke wheels, with roof rails and a stylized skid plate adding to its crossover look. At the rear, it has horizontal surfaces and LED taillights available in three designs.

The interior is fitted with a 240mm round OLED touchscreen powered by the new MINI Operating System 9. The cabin uses recycled knit fabric in place of traditional chrome and leather.

Additional features include the Harman Kardon Surround Sound system and a Head-Up Display. The Aceman also supports the MINI Digital Key Plus, allowing a smartphone to serve as the vehicle key.

Under the hood, or shall we say the body, the Aceman uses a  218 hp permanently synchronous motor (PSM) that provides 330 Nm of torque to the front wheels. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 7.1 seconds.

Its 54.2 kWh battery offers a WLTP range of up to 406 kilometers. The vehicle supports DC fast charging of up to 95 kW, enabling a 10% to 80% charge in 30 minutes. It also supports AC charging up to 11 kW for overnight charging at home or at public stations.

The Aceman includes standard safety features such as Lane Change Warning, Speed Limit Info, and Front Collision Warning with brake intervention. Parking Assistant Plus provides Active Park Distance Control, a Reversing Assist Camera, and a Remote 3D View.

The new MINI Cooper S 5-Door builds on the classic 3-Door model, featuring an extended wheelbase and increased luggage capacity. It has round headlights with high beam assistance, an octagonal grille, and contrasting roof and mirror caps.

It sits on 18-inch Slide Spoke 2-tone alloy wheels. The rear has triangular LED taillights with three selectable light signatures.

Inside, the vehicle has a dashboard and door trims finished in two-tone knitted fabric made from recycled polyester. The seats use high-quality vegan leather with houndstooth patterns and blue textile inserts.

As with most new MINI these days, there's a 240mm OLED touchscreen running the MINI Operating System 9 manages vehicle controls. Other standard features include comfort access, interior and exterior mirror package, and an interior rear-view mirror with automatic anti-dazzle function.

The Cooper S 5-Door is powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine delivering 204 hp and 300Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.8 seconds and has a top speed of 242 km/h.

The engine features direct and port fuel injection, with a seven-speed double-clutch Steptronic transmission. The chassis includes preloaded stabilizers and an optimized suspension system for improved handling.

Safety features include Lane Change and Departure Warnings, Front Collision and Rear Crossing Traffic Warnings, Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Lane Control Assistant, and Speed Limit Assist. The Parking Assistant Plus offers Remote 3D View and a Reversing Assistant for up to 50 meters.

Availability

The New MINI Aceman will be available at all authorized MINI dealerships starting from 8th October 2024.
