Mini Countryman’s specil edition is Blacked Out!

KUALA LUMPUR: The British automotive marque has released an all-black version of the crossover Countryman- The Blackheath Edition. This special, limited-run edition will only have 60 units locally. If you are a fan of dark-themed and black aesthetics on a car, this one will surely grab all your attention.

There is no surprise to what is the motif behind the name-Blackheath. One that is taken from the dark shrubland of Blackheath in South East London, this countryman wears an exterior that is dressed in some very dark shades of gloss and matte black.
Prominent highlights of this car include Midnight Black metallic paint, Midnight Black finishes for the roof and mirror caps, 18-inch alloy wheels finished in black, high-gloss black roof and side mouldings.

Blackheath also features aluminium bonnet stripes with a matte grey “brushed aluminium” effect. Black trim for the headlight and tail-light surrounding along with black door handles and front grille trim. Finally, black ‘COUNTRYMAN’ badging adorns the tailgate and all other accent items of the car have a piano black finish.
Stepping inside the car, the blacked theme continues with Carbon Cross Black Punch leather seats finished in carbon black, an anthracite headliner and piano black highlights.

The Blackheath also leverages the standard suite of equipment found on the Cooper S, including a panoramic sunroof, tinted privacy glass and heated front seats. Some ubiquitous features like the latest Navigation Professional system with 8.8-inch touchscreen, a 12-speaker harman/kardon premium Hi-Fi system, Head-Up Display and MINI Find Mate system, with two Bluetooth remote tags also enhance the interior plush feel.

Abiding by the safety norms, the Countryman Blackheath Edition gets stability control, traction control, dynamic brake lights, ABS with EBD, electronic differential lock control, pull-away assistant, attention assist, rearview camera, run-flat tyres and flat tyre indicator, front and side airbags as well as head airbags for the four outer occupants and ISOFIX child seat anchors in the rear passenger seats.

Under the bonnet, the Blackheath employs a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder engine that is good for 141kW and 280Nm, driving the front wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The Malaysian buyers can drive away from this special edition Countryman for a price of RM 253,427.
