Mercedes-Benz EQB350 4MATIC & EQC400 AMG Line 4MATIC launched in Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has launched not one but three fully-electric cars in the country. While we have already covered the launch of the EQS450+ which is the grandest EQ model in the country. It is now time to discuss the first-ever, fully-electric EQC and EQB.

The estimated price tag of the EQC400 AMG Line is RM 390,000 and that of the EQB350 4MATIC is RM 330,000.The EQC is available in Malaysia as EQC400 AMG Line and as mentioned it is the first fully-electric production Mercedes-Benz model.
With an estimated price tag of RM 390,000, the EQC400 AMG Line gains its power from two electric motors (one at the front and other at the rear) that drive all four wheels. An 80 kWh battery fuels the e-motors and returns an electric range of up to 437 km. The motors generate a maximum power of 408 hp and 760 Nm of torque. On the performance front, the EQC takes 5.1 seconds to complete the century sprint and attain a top speed of 180 kmph.
The EQC takes approximately 7.5 hours to get fully charged via 11kW AC charging and 40 minutes to get 80% charged with 110kW DC fast charging.

Another Mercedes-Benz EV to enter Malaysia is the EQB350 4MATIC. After the EQA, it is the second all-electric compact car in the EQ range.
With an estimated price tag of RM 330,000, the EQB350 4MATIC packs ideal motors that generate a maximum power of 292 PS and a peak torque of 520 Nm. It archives the 0-100 kmph sprint in just 6.2 secs and tops out at 160 kmph.
The e-motors are fueled by a 66.5 kWh, 420-volt lithium-ion battery pack. It comes with a standard 11 kW charger that uses an 11kW three-phase charging outlet that takes 5 hr 45 mins to fully charge the battery. The 100kW DC charger takes around 32 minutes to take the charge from 10 to 80%. The EV returns an electric driving range of up to 423 km.
