Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ Limited Edition arrives in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has expanded its lineup in Malaysia with the launch of an all-new special edition model, the Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ Limited Edition. Priced at RM 558,888, this German masterpiece is exclusively available through the Mercedes-Benz online store.

Speaking of the exterior first, the new Mercedes-AMG model boasts an exclusive “AMG green hell magno” paintwork. This striking hue was previously seen on the Mercedes-AMG GT and Mercedes-Benz G-Class and now makes its debut in the compact segment. The special model sports a distinctive AMG logo foiling and large “45 S” lettering on the doors, along with the AMG crest on the bonnet.

The new Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ Limited Edition rides on matte black 19-inch AMG forged wheels incorporating a unique seven-twin-spoke design and yellow spokes. The brake callipers of the high-performance braking system are sprayed with glossy black and feature white AMG logos. 

Further adding to the exclusivity is an AMG-branded fuel cap and a welcome light projector that displays the AMG coat of arms on the road upon entering or exiting the vehicle.

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia offers the following three equipment packages for the new model -

• AMG Night Package: It features striking black and high-gloss black design elements, including the front splitter, exterior mirror housings, and beltlines.
• AMG Night Package II: It adds darkened struts on the radiator trim, black chrome typography on the fenders and tailgate, black door handles, and Mercedes stars in the wheel hub caps.
• AMG Aerodynamics Package: It includes wind tunnel-tested add-on parts and a fixed AMG rear wing.

Getting inside, here the new Mercedes-AMG model confirms its unique identity with distinctively designed AMG performance seats wrapped in black ARTICO man-made leather and MICROCUT microfibre and AMG Performance steering wheel in Nappa leather/MICROCUT microfibre. 

Providing a striking contrast is yellow stitching on seats, steering wheel, door panels and instrument panel and a yellow “45 S” embroidered label on the front headrests. The AMG door sills also have a black AMG pattern and yellow-illuminated AMG logo paired with AMG floor mats with “45 S” lettering.

Powering the 2024 Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ is a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine tuned to deliver a maximum power of 421 PS and a peak torque of 500 Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed AMG Speedshift 8G dual-clutch transmission and AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system. The car runs from zero to 100 kmph in 3.9 seconds and hits a top speed of 270 kmph.

Also part of the mechanical setup is an AMG Torque Control that assists in enhancing driving dynamics by using electronically controlled multi-plate clutches on the rear axle.
