Organised by MINI Pattern Group, a club dedicated to Malaysia’s MINI community, Malaysia MINI Day 2024 became the country’s largest-ever gathering of MINIs.
A staggering 513 MINIs were registered by 11:30 AM on 27 October, with the final count reaching 543 by the close of the event—a new record that reflects the community’s growing passion.
“This is truly a celebration of Big Love among our MINI family,” said one organizer, underscoring the strong sense of community that MINI enthusiasts share.
The festivities began on 26 October with a special dinner to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the MINI Pattern Group. The night celebrated the club’s decade-long journey, fostering friendships and promoting the joy of MINI ownership across Malaysia.
The following day, the venue transformed into a vibrant festival ground as MINIacs flooded the open car park with their signature MINI models, creating a spectacle of colors and styles.
An exciting collaboration with Millennium Welt brought an added thrill to the event: attendees could test drive the latest MINI Electric lineup, including the MINI Cooper 3-Door, MINI Countryman, and the new MINI Aceman.
"Getting behind the wheel of these new electrified MINIs really highlighted that go-kart feel MINI is famous for," remarked one participant after taking a spin.
Other activities included competitions for “Best Modern MINI” and “Best Classic MINI,” and a creative “Best Rocker Cover” contest where participants displayed custom-transformed engine oil covers turned into MINI car models.
The Car Boot Sale was a crowd-puller as well, featuring MINI memorabilia, crafts, and various foods, with owners showcasing not only their vehicles but also their unique flair and offerings.
As the event wrapped up, it left behind a celebratory atmosphere and an enduring sense of connection among MINI owners in Malaysia.
Malaysia MINI Day 2024 marked a memorable milestone for MINI Pattern Group, promising an even brighter future for MINI’s growing presence and the passionate community behind it.
