Honda treats the new 2019 Accord with three Modulo editions

KUALA LUMPUR: It was only in March 2019, when Honda launched the all-new Accord in Thailand. And only a while back, the automaker released the new Accord’s price list for the Thai market. And now, keeping the hype alive around the new mid-size sedan, the automaker has bestowed it with Modulo treatment.

Honda has revealed not just one but three Modulo editions - Aero Smart, Aero Sport, and Aero Supreme. In all the three kits, the car looks rather subtle. Let’s now discuss what each of the Accord’s Modulo editions has in stock. Stating with the Aero Smart package, it displays a deeper chin, gets side skirts, and rear bumper extensions. The Aero Sport showcases all of the above along with a fine trunk lip spoiler. Last, but not the least, the Aero Supreme Accord Modulo kit includes side skirt, bumper, spoiler, mesh grille, and rear bumper garnish.

The aforementioned mentioned Honda Accord Modulo package only includes cosmetics upgrades. No changes are seen in 2019 Accord specs sheet, as the features and engine configuration remains the same. Speaking of which, the Thai-spec model packs a rather potent mill. It is a 192 PS 1.5-litre turbo engine that is found under the Civic hood. The variant list also includes a hybrid version that comes with a power of 212 PS.

In Malaysia, we are expecting the new Accord to arrive in the coming months. However, in the local market, the hybrid model of the Accord will be dropped.
