Honda Thailand release 2019 Accord price list

KUALA LUMPUR: It was late in March 2019 when the all-new Accord made its debut in the Thai market. However, back then, the Japanese automaker kept the price tag covered. All that changes today, when deliveries of the D-segment sedan begins in Thailand. The tenth-generation Accord is made available in two variants - Turbo and Hybrid (none of them is cheap).

• 2019 Accord Turbo EL - THB 1,475,000 (RM 194,400)
• 2019 Accord Hybrid - THB 1,639,000 (RM 216,1000)
• 2019 Accord Hybrid Tech - THB 1,799,000 (RM 237,200)

Note, part of these prices include two-year or 40,000 km extended warranty, thus bringing the total to five-years or 140,000 km of coverage. Sweetening the deal further is the 24 hours roadside assistance. With the hybrid model, buyers will get a five-year, unlimited-mileage warranty along with 10-year battery warranty.

As mentioned in the previous stories, the base variant of 2019 Accord is powered by a 1.5-litre VTEC Turbo mill that generates a maximum power of 190 PS along with a peak torque of 243 Nm. This mill comes paired with a CVT that sends power to the rear wheels. Honda claims it to offer a combined fuel economy of 16.4 kmph.

The Hybrid model, on the other hand, uses Intelligent Multi-Mode Dive system that combines engine, electric motor, and a lithium-ion battery. The 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated i-VTEC Atkinson cycle mill generates 145 PS and 175 Nm. The electric motor power figure reads 184 PS and 315 Nm, thus making the total system output stand at 215 PS. The Accord Hybrid trims are said to offer a mileage of 24.4 kmph, and the CO2 emission is rated at 97 grams per kilometre.
