With the addition of Phoenix Orange Pearl, the updated colour selection for the City now includes Ignite Red Metallic, Meteoroid Grey Metallic, Crystal Black Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, and the new, striking orange. However, Crystal Black and Lunar Silver remain exclusive to the petrol variants.
The City Sedan was given a facelift in August 2023, continuing with the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated DOHC i-VTEC four-cylinder engine for its non-hybrid variants.
This engine produces 121 PS at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm of torque at 4,300 rpm, with power sent to the front wheels through a CVT.
The flagship e:HEV RS hybrid variant gets a more complex powertrain. It pairs a 1.5-litre Atkinson-cycle DOHC i-VTEC engine with an electric motor.
The motor alone delivers 109 PS and 253 Nm of torque, while the engine contributes 72 PS and 127 Nm. For efficiency, the system can switch to engine-only mode during steady-state driving, like cruising on highways, using a single-speed gearbox with a lock-up clutch.

There’s no change in pricing despite the new colour’s introduction. The City Sedan range is priced from RM84,900 for the 1.5 S, followed by RM89,900 for the 1.5 E, RM94,900 for the 1.5 V, RM99,900 for the 1.5 RS, and RM111,900 for the e:HEV RS.
As for the 2025 City Hatchback, pricing starts at RM85,900 for the base 1.5 S and goes up to RM112,900 for the top-spec 1.5 e:HEV RS.
If you're looking to stand out a little more in your next City — hatch or sedan — this new Phoenix Orange Pearl might be worth a look.
