Here’s the Porsche Panamera Platinum Edition

KUALA LUMPUR: Yes, you read it just right. Porsche’s popular luxury sports car, the Panamera gets a new special edition model. Called the Panamera Platinum Edition, it does not associate itself with the car selling over a million units (which it didn’t) but refers to its platinum exterior bits.

The Porsche Panamera Platinum Edition looks different from the regular Panamera model. It benefits from unique Platinum finishes that can be seen on its 21-inch Exclusive Design Sport wheels, rear model badges, and side air outlet trims behind the front fenders.

Apart from the obvious platinum inclusions, the special edition Panamera also comes equipped with standard fitments like -

• Porsche Dynamic Lighting System Plus headlight
• Blacked-out window trims
• Exclusive Design tail lights
• Black painted ‘sports tailpipes’
• Brushed aluminium cabin trims in black
• 14-way comfort seats
• Soft-close door
• Heated rear seats
• Bose Surround Sound System
• Four-zone climate control
• Lane change assist
• An analogue clock sitting on the dashboard

The platinum bits are also seen on the inside making sure the driver and passengers know about the car’s special edition nature. For instance, the headrest and brushed aluminium sill guards are plastered with ‘Platinum Edition’ lettering.

What powers the Porsche Panamera Platinum Edition?

Well, the underhood configuration remains unchanged and mainly depends on the variant picked. However, common across the lineup is - the Adaptive Air Suspension system, and Power Steering Plus.

With its world premiere scheduled for November 17th at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the Porsche Panamera Platinum Edition deliveries are expected to commence by the end of Jan 2022.
