GoCar Malaysia offers latest EVs with weekly and monthly subscription plans

KUALA LUMPUR: Want to get your dream EV without the commitment of ownership? GoCar Malaysia has got you covered. The leading on-demand mobility-as-a-service platform is now offering an expanded lineup of electric vehicles with subscription options of weekly and monthly plans.

GoCar Subs Electric line-up now includes 7 pure EV models - 

• Nissan Leaf
• New Renault Zoe
• Hyundai Kona Electric
• Hyundai Ioniq 5
• GWM Ora Good Cat
• Electric Mini
• Tesla Model Y

As mentioned above, interested folks can try out these EVs by opting for weekly and monthly plans. The subscription rates start from RM 171 per day for the weekly plan and RM 120 per day for the monthly plan. The calculation of the rates depends on the respective subscription fee of the EV and the obligatory inclusion of the Collision Damage Waiver.

“We believe Malaysians are curious about EVs but many are apprehensive about having to use it as their primary mode of transportation. With our new weekly and monthly subscription options, we are calling more people to ‘Experience Electric’ with GoCar Subs. They can test a range of EVs in their daily commute or for short trips, assess the EV charging experience, and discover if the EV lifestyle is for them,” said Wong Hoe Mun, CEO of GoCar Malaysia.

To book monthly or weekly EV experience, you need to follow the below-mentioned steps -

• Sign up for a GoCar Subs account via the GoCar Subs website or GoCar mobile app 
• Choose the desired electric vehicle 
• Pay the required amount (one-time subscription fee and a refundable security deposit) 
• Get the vehicle within 14 days (subject to availability) 

Currently available within the Klang Valley, the GoCar Subs’ Electric programme also offers a chargEV card for easy charging. With this complimentary chargEV, customers can enjoy free access to all standalone AC chargers, which does not include Starbucks and BMW locations.
