Get to know the soon-to-arrive all-electric Mini Countryman

KUALA LUMPUR: Mini has revealed new information about its upcoming Countryman EV. Thus, giving us in-depth information about the upcoming electric vehicle.

So, without any delay let’s get to know the 2024 Mini Countryman, starting with the interesting facts.

• The Countryman EV represents an all-electric shift for the model
• It is the brand’s first all-wheel-drive (AWD) electric car
• It will be Mini’s first Made in Germany car (at the BMW Group plant in Leipzig)
• The production will commence in November this year

Dimensions

The new Countryman EV has comparatively grown in size, making it 130 mm long and 60 mm tall. Thus offering more headroom and comfort to the passengers.

Versions

The upcoming Mini Countryman will be offered in two versions including Countryman E and Countryman SE ALL4 models.

Powertrain

The Mini Countryman E is a 2WD model with a maximum power of 191 hp, thanks to its single motor setup. The Countryman SE ALL4, on the other hand, features a dual-motor setup generating 313 hp of power.

Battery

Mini has not specified the individual battery details of its two variants, however, the Countryman is known to feature a 64.7 kWh unit which provides an approximate range of 450 km.

Environmental-friendly bits

The 3rd-gen Mini Countryman is a world-class environmentally friendly EV. A title is achieved via zero tailpipe emissions and several exterior & interior elements, like cast-alloy wheels made of 70% secondary aluminum. The use of green electricity by the manufacturer helps in the significant reduction of CO2 emissions.

The interior, on the other hand, features a dashboard, headliner, floor, floor mats, and steering wheel made of eco-friendly materials obtained from recycled polyester from PET bottles and carpets.
