China gets long variant model of Range Rover Evoque, full details revealed

KUALA LUMPUR: Land Rover China has launched the Range Rover Evoque L, a market-specific long-wheelbase model that will replace the ongoing regular variant.

Now, how long is this long-wheelbase model? Compared to the regular model with a wheelbase of 4,371mm, the Evoque L is 160 mm longer at 4,531 mm. As per the automaker claims, the China-spec Evoque L offers additional 125 mm legroom at the rear, thus making the car super spacious and comfortable. Also, the five-seater now gets electrically-adjustable rear seatback, another advantage for the passengers.

Available exterior paint choices include three new choices - Santorini Black with Seoul Pearl Silver roof, Belvia Green with Narvik Black roof, and Noble Soul Pearl Silver with Rossello Red roof.

The Range Rover Evoque L cabin is equally striking as its exterior. It gets a two-tone treatment, an upgraded 10.2-inch infotainment display with InControl OS 2.0, and a massive panoramic sunroof.

An interesting inclusion is automaker’s second-gen wrist-worn smart key bracelet. This gear comes with an OLED touch screen, it acts as a watch and even opens the car’s door automatically.

This China-specific/limited model will be manufactured there itself and is priced at 430,000 yuan, that’s roughly approc RM 280,000.

Talking about Malaysia, Land Rover is doing pretty well here too, with Land Rover Discovery selling 5,641 units and the Evoque 3,642 units in the second quarter of 2021.
