Check out the new Mercedes G-Class tuned by Hofele

KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-Benz G-Class has always been a favorite for those who like to be unique and stand out from the crowd. The high-performance off-roader has already gone through the mechanical modifications by some companies, but this time, the Hofele tuner from Germany has given it an aggressive makeover while keeping the mechanical numbers unchanged. 

On the exterior front, Hofele has completely revamped the front bumper of the G-Class with dark shadow chrome and carbon fiber elements. The new bumper wraps around the extended carbon fiber wheel arches. The fender flares of the SUV have also received carbon finishing. Above the windshield, you can see a light bar that is available in chrome carbon and body colour finish. 

The tuner has replaced the original front grille and three-pointed star logo with Hofele Design's signature grille. The modified G-Class rides on 24-inch wheels with sets of double spokes. It also incorporates extra-wide opening rear doors for more convenient entry and electrically deployable side steps. At the rear end, it also features a carbon fiber spare wheel cover.

Inside the cabin, the German tuner has replaced the standard five-seat configuration with six seats in the three-row pattern. The new layout made the two rear seats more comfortable for smaller adults or children. However, it reduces the luggage space, but not to worry as the seats are easily removable. 

To cover the cabin, Hofele replaced the standard Mercedes-Benz leather with "Berry Red" leather featuring the latest stitching pattern. For contrast, anthracite Alcantara upholstery is used for the headlining, pillars, and seatbacks, with the combination of carbon fibre trim all around the cabin of Hofele G-Class.

The tuner was supposed to unveil the bespoke G-Class at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show, but the plan was changed when the show got canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, it also aims at showcasing another customised model based on G-Class soon with a different design concept.

The interested customers can send their SUV to Hofele for the modification, and the people in European countries can directly buy the vehicle from the tuner as it is also a Mercedes-Benz partner.
