BMW X6 M arrives in Malaysia with a price tag of RM1,238,800

Kuala Lumpur: BMW Group Malaysia has announced the arrival of second-generation BMW X6 M which is a Sports Activity Coupe (SAC). The F86 X6 M is the sleeker brother of F85 X5 M which was revealed earlier this year. After roaming around the world, now it has reached Malaysia with a dearer price tag.

For the Malaysian market, it would be powered by a 4.4-litre V8 M Twin Power Turbo engine which could generate a maximum power of 575 hp at 6000-6500 rpm along with a commanding torque of 750 Nm at 2200-5000 rpm. Further, it is mated to an eight-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic and power channeled via xDrive with Dynamic Performance Control. Moreover, it is also integrated with M Servotronic steering system that delivers various steering parameters to suit driver preferences. From a position of halt, it can reach an acceleration of 100 kmph in just 4.2 seconds along with a top speed of 250 kmph. Despite these power figures, it delivers a fuel consumption of 11.1 litre per 100 km and CO2 emissions of 258 g/km.

Towards the front facade, the double kidney grille have got twin slats along with large air intakes to provide better breathing to the engine. The front and rear bumpers are also redesigned as compared to its predecessor. At the back, one can find a boot lip spoiler and quad exhaust pipe system which makes it completely different from others. Its large wheel arches are filled with 21-inch M alloy wheels.

X6 M's cabin has got various M bits which include the three-spoke leather-wrapped M steering wheel with gearshift paddles, the M gearshift lever and M multifunction front bucket seats. The unique instrument cluster comes with M-specific dynamics system display and M specific views for gears. Further, through the iDrive controller you can access the BMW M lap timer app on your smartphone. Moreover, an optional full-colour Head-up Display is also available with rev-counter and shift lights.
