All-new Range Rover Velar up for grabs in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Globally revealed in February this year, the all-new Range Rover Velar has landed on Malaysian soil. Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia offers the facelifted midsize luxury SUV in three variants - P250 Dynamic HSE (L Specs) and P250 Dynamic SE (M and H Specs) at a price starting from RM 638,800.

In terms of exterior, the new Range Rover Velar benefits from a new radiator grille and super-slim Pixel LED Headlights with jewel-like Signature Daytime Running Lights, offering the SUV a bolder and more contemporary look. Towards the back, it gets a sophisticated pair of new 3D LED taillights and a new lower rear bumper design. Also new are two striking colour tones - Metallic Varesine Blue and Premium Metallic Zadar Grey.

The upgraded SUV rides on new wheels; H Spec and L Spec versions feature new 22-inch Style 1075 10-spoke gloss dark grey rims with a diamond turned finish while the M Spec comes equipped with 20-inch Style 1089 10-spoke gloss black wheels.

The interior of the SUV also gains a host of updates making it more intuitive, engaging, and luxurious. Among the key interior updates are -

• New 11.4-inch curved glass touchscreen mated to the latest Pivi Pro infotainment system featuring a new interface and voice AI. The system also supports wireless software updates
• Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity
• Wireless charging pad
• Updated Road Noise Cancellation technology making it the quietest cabin in its class 
• New cabin air purification system
• Ambient lighting system with 30 colours to choose from. 
• Meridian 3D surround-sound system 
• New sidebar interface 
• Technology Pack adding a Heads-Up Display, a 3D Surround Camera and Park Assist

Also part of the kit is a Wade Sensing system and Adaptive Dynamics and electronic air suspension (H Spec and L Spec models).

Powering the new Range Rover Velar is the same tried and tested 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine churning out a maximum power of 250 PS and a peak torque of 365 Nm.
