All-new Honda City Hatchback launch date confirmed
KUALA LUMPUR: Honda Malaysia has been teasing the City Hatchback for a while now with the ordering books opened earlier this month. Now, finally, we have a launch date set aside for the City Hatchback, i.e., 7th December 2021.

As per Honda, its latest model will take the B-hatchback segment ‘A Step Above’. And why not? The car comes loaded with several first-in-segment advanced features, showcases an exceptional design, and benefits from e:HEV technology.
What to expect from the upcoming City hatch?
In Malaysia, the 2022 City Hatchback will be offered in two engine options - a 1.5-litre DOHC i-VTEC petrol mill making a maximum power of 121 PS along with a peak torque of 145 Nm. The range-topping RS model, on the other hand, will be powered by an e:HEV hybrid unit comprising a 1.5-litre Sports intelligent Multi-Mode Drive hybrid engine and two e-motors. Together the system makes 109 PS and 253 Nm of torque.
Available in two variant options - V and RS, both of which benefit from LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED fog lamps, LED tail lights, and 16-inch wheels. The range-topping RS model looks different from the regular via the high-gloss piano black grille, RS-specific exterior trimmings, and solid wing.
In addition, the City Hatchback specs sheet includes - rear air-conditioning vents and electric parking brake.
As for the first-in-segment features, the City Hatchback benefits from - 4 modes ULTRA seats (Utility, Refresh, Tall, and Long) that are ergonomically designed for multiple seating layouts, Remote Engine Start, and Honda LaneWatch.
