All-new 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee to arrive in a few days

KUALA LUMPUR: Yes, you read it just right. Jeep never gets tired, after showing us the Wangler 4XE plug-in hybrid, followed by pulling covers off the new Grand Wagoneer concept, the automaker is now ready with a new treat - the 2020 Cherokee.

On 17th November 2020, at around noon (easter time), Jeep will unveil its new product. Though the automaker is numb about the car it'll reveal but all signs point towards the 2020 Grand Cherokee.

It was in February this year when Jeep confirmed the soon arrival (before the end of 2020) of the Grand Cherokee. The SUV was earlier scheduled for Detroit Auto Show debut, however, due to the show’s cancellation, Jeep's plan got delayed. Now with only two months left in 2020, we are suspecting the Jeep's upcoming car to be none other than the new Grand Cherokee, not to mention the numerous spy shots and leaked images of the car captured in the recent time.

As per reports, the 5th-gen Jeep Cherokee would ride on the Giorgio platform that also underpinned the Alfa Romeo Stelvio. It is to be noted that the said underpinning will be highly modified for the Grand Cherokee making it larger than the Stelvio as well as the ongoing model it'll be replacing.

The new 2020 Grand Cherokee will be offered in 5- and 7-seat configuration. As for its under the hood configuration, there could be a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder electric mill along with the signature Pentastar V6 with the possibility of a PHEV trim coming in later.
