Celebrating the amazing start of BYD Seal in Malaysia, Sime Darby Beyond Auto has extended the early-bird promotion to another 300 buyers.

Part of the said promo is a complimentary AC home charger along with free ChargeEV or Gentari charging credits worth RM 800 with every purchase.

The Tesla Model 3 rival is offered in two variant options in Malaysia with its retail price starting from RM 180,430 (on the road without insurance).

• The Seal is offered in two trim options - Premium and Performance; priced at RM 179,800 and RM 199,800 respectively
• The EV underpins a dedicated EV architecture by BYD called the e-Platform 3.0, which also supports the Atto 3 SUV and Dolphin hatch

 

• In size, the Seal measures the same as the Tesla Model 3 and the Ora 07; that is 4,800 mm in length, 1,875 mm in width, and 1,460 mm in height. The wheelbase stretches to 2,920 mm
• Standard equipped on the outside include - LED headlights, LED tail lights, LED DRLs, 19-inch alloys; as an add-on the range-topping variant benefits from Frequency Selective Damping at front & rear

 

 

• Standard gears on the inside include - 10.25-inch digital display, 15.6-inch rotatable touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto & Apple CarPlay support, 8-way electrically adjustable driver seat, 6-way electrically adjustable front passenger seat, ventilated & heated front seats, dual-zone air-con system, 12-speaker audio system, NFC key card, driver seat with memory function, head-up display,
• The car is offered in four choices - Atlantis Grey, Cosmos Black, Aurora White, and Arctic Blue (only Performance)

• The base Premium trim is powered by a single-motor rear-wheel drive setup that pumps out a maximum power of 313 hp and 360 Nm. The Performance variant, on the other hand, features a dual-motor all-wheel drive unit that pushes out 530 hp and 670 Nm.
• The EV goes from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.9 seconds and 3.8 seconds for the Premium and Performance variants respectively

• The EV packs several active safety features that offer the owner complete peace of mind. The kit includes - Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking system, Lane Detection Warning (LDW), Lane Departure Prevention System (LDP), Emergency Lane Keeping System, Predictive Collision Warning System, Rear Collision Warning System, Traffic Sign Recognition, Forward Crossing Traffic Alert, and 360-degree camera system. The Performance trim for its added cost offer two additional safety features namely, Electronic Child Lock and Intelligent Torque Adaption Control

• As for warranty, each purchase is accompanied by a 6-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty, an 8-year/160,000 km battery warranty, and an 8-year/150,000 km drive unit warranty
• A customer can also pick between two service packages for the Seal, namely the Standard and Plus; including services like rotation, tyre alignment, and balancing
